Considered by most as the “King of Emotional Pop”, blackbear has consistently delivered with his ability to craft relatable records that pull at our heartstrings. With his new record ‘u love u’ that features Tate McRae, the introspective single discusses the loneliness and heartbreak that comes from being in a bad relationship.

In the video that accompanies the single, we see blackbear singing in a desolate forest as the video switches between VHS effects and focused shots. The visual then transitions to more shots of bear surrounded by clothes racks and a murky lake before going to an isolated shot of Tate McRae. The video perfectly fits the vibe of the song, and both artists bring this song to life even more.

Lyrics That Stick:

“It’s been over for a year or so

I should have left a couple tears ago”
