Anytime we get new music from rising artist/instrumentalist, Mills, we know we are going to have a good day. Mills is one of those generational artists that simplifies even the most complex emotions, and he always delivers a personable sound that is relatable to all that listen. After impressing us with his record “The Store”, he is now back with his latest release “Five N’ Dime”. The single tackles that initial feeling of meeting someone that seems to give you reason to enjoy life again when everything seems bad. Lyrically, it is one of our favorite records from him and the video that accompanies the song is just as good.
In the visual, Mills is seen at a rundown gas station in the California canyons as he serenades a girl that has a stalled out truck. The video brings all those emotions back of finding love at first sight, and Mills sells this story so well in the visual. In my opinion, the chemistry between him and the girl is perfect, and it makes me want to keep it on repeat. With that being said, check the visual out above and enjoy!!!
Lyrics That Stick:
“I always blame it on the WiFi
I always blame it on the people
I’m with They said I used to be the nice guy
Can barely see them with the lights so dim
She ask me what I do with free time?”
