Hailing from San Diego, CA, singer/songwriter, Lecx Stacy, is an artist that has captivated us with his ability to pour his heart and soul into introspective songs that seem to resonate with all of us. After hearing about him originally on the bill of a Junior Varsity concert, I decided to dive into his catalogue and I wasn’t disappointed. He has an innate ability to tie real life situations into his songs that touch on identity, culture, and finding one’s truth. Now he’s back with a new single and visual for his latest release “Such”.
In the visual, Lecx is seen sitting in a bedroom singing before transitioning to him raging and running through flea markets and shopping centers around the city. The visual has incredible color grading and transitions. In addition, there is a certain level of chaos that is expressed in the video that is appealing, because I feel like life itself is like that. I think the main goal is to show the inner stress that we deal with on a regular basis, and I think Stacy does a great job of showing how he deals with it. Overall, the song is crafted well and the visual is just as captivating. Make sure to stream it above!
Lyrics That Stick:
“Hey, ask me if I’m okay,
I’d say, it’s depending on the day”
