sophie meiers Captivates Us With Their Gorgeous New Single “collar”

It’s been awhile since an artist has fully drawn me into their world using their own sound. When I think of artists that have done that successfully, I always say Kid Cudi, Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga, Florence Welch, and Melanie Martinez. Now, I can add rising singer-songwriter sophie meiers to that list.
sophie is an artist that is no stranger to blending genres, and their often airy melodies and raw songwriting seem to put me in a trance when listening to them. It’s almost haunting how sophie is able to draw you in so quickly with their sound. To put sophie in a box would be a disservice, but I would label them as a Glitter Punk Alt-Popstar.
Now, sophie is back with their latest release “collar” and it is a gem that discusses intoxication, indulgence, wanting, and euphoria. In "collar" their soft and gentle vocals shine on dusty drums and distorted guitars. A surprisingly good combo, which resulted in an intimate and sweetly-melancholic atmosphere. In addition, they also dropped a seductive, gothic cottage core music video to accompany the song which you can stream above. With that being said, be on the lookout for more of their music!
