callmemaj & James Amaker II Link On Their Anthemic New Single “UnRaVel”

As a writer in the music industry, there is absolutely nothing better than finding records that push the boundaries sonically and move you. Over the last few weeks, I have listened through many submissions and I finally came across one of my favorite songs of the year by rising South Carolina artist callmemaj.
Although I’m unfamiliar with a majority of his discography, his latest release “UnRaVel” that features James Amaker II is a dreamy-punk masterpiece. The single is laced with electrifying guitar riffs, lush melodies, and post adolescent lyrics. In addition to the raw and personable lyricism, the song creates a great atmosphere that teeters between pop-punk and indie-alt. Overall, the song does a great job at staying true to its core, and it revolves around building one's self esteem, both negative and positive. Both artists do a great job vocally and the mix was exceptional even though the record was recorded in a dorm. With that being said, if you are looking for new music to dive into, hit play on this track below and rock out.
