Dree Rivers Impresses With His New Single “love.drugs.sex”

When it comes to emerging artists in the Rap & R&B soundscape, Dree Rivers is an artist that needs to be in everyone’s conversation because he is next up. With his innate ability to craft enchanting ballads that are laced with raw lyricism, his songs produce an aura that will surely have you wrapped up in his voice on the first listen. In addition to his sound, he has co-signs from Aminé, Alessia Cara, and Guapdad 4000, so it’s clear that Dree Rivers has a bright future ahead of him. His ability to seamlessly travel from ideas of love and questionable nights, to purposeful thoughts about legacy and regret will have you lost in his intimate instrumentals.
Although I’m fairly new to his sound, his latest release “love.drugs.sex” has left us all in awe. The single is a reflection on a toxic relationship and an attempt to say everything that couldn’t be said in the relationship. It captures the passionate feelings of regret and jealousy and delivers them on a 2000’s inspired instrumental with a modern twist.
