Dyl Dion Transcends Time On His Latest Offering “Talk Every Night”

Over the last year, there have been a handful of artists that have truly caught my attention. These artists posses an innovative outlook on their song creation, and they have unique elements to their sounds that make them truly captivating. One artist that has continued to impress me is rising North Carolina singer-songwriter Dyl Dion. Although Dyl is still building his catalogue, he has garnered a true fanbase with his ability to craft catchy singles with warm sonics. After initially turning me into a fan with his top streamed single “pouring outside”, he continued his hot run with other songs such as “meant nothing to me” & “under your weather”. Now he returns with his latest single “talk every night”, and it has us in complete awe.
The single is a genre-bending masterpiece that feels like a sweet daydream. With it’s youthful energy, elements of nostalgia, and engaging hook, the song pulls you in right when you press play. Dyl has this innate ability to create an idea and allow it to be felt through the sonics and imagery in his lyrics. The story was inspired by Dyl’s personal experience of losing friends and feeling disconnected from those in his present life. This idea is felt by all of us to some extent when we get isolated due to life’s hardships and timing. With his innate ability to evoke raw emotions out of his listeners, he creates a euphoric feel with this song that reminds us of all the memories and nostalgia we have felt with those that may have exited our lives. Overall, this is one of my favorite songs, and I can’t wait to hear more.
