It is very rare that I find an artist that I feel has the “IT” factor, but rising singer-songwriter Lil Hudak has recently caught my attention with his versatility and eclectic style. Hailing originally from Cleveland, OH, Lil Hudak has been captivating listeners with his raw and authentic sound, and he finally debuts on our pages with his single “No Rest” featuring ramisnotfaded.
The single is a genre-bending masterpiece full of lush melodies, engaging guitars, and 808s that carry the song from start to finish. I loved the overall pacing of the song and Lil Hudak’s exceptional vocals evoke raw emotions that I never thought I had. With his ability to provide imagery in his storytelling , Hudak welcomes his listeners into his own world and that is very hard to do in an industry where consumer’s attention spans are at an all time low. In addition to Lil Hudak’s performance, ramisnotfaded was the chef’s kiss on the song.
