Hailing from Camden Town, London, Abubakar Baker Shariff-Farr, better known as Bakar, is a British singer-songwriter that is known for his his experimental indie rock style. After initially catching our attention with his single “Big Dreams” in 2017, he has continued to garner attention with his ability to craft singles with larger than life hooks and raw lyricism. With a run of hot singles last year (“The Mission”, “Like a Star”, & “Build Me Away”, the rising star has been embracing a new sound and it looks like he’s ready for the big step into the mainstream. Now, the UK-born artist has announced the release of his debut album “Nobody’s Home” that is set to release on February 25th. The album was recorded during an “intense but magical” ten day stint in London’s Metropolis Studios.
In addition to the album news, he also shared his new single “NW3”. The record discusses his move from Camden Town to the nicer area of Hampstead. “NW3” is a smooth record full of lush melodies and infectious sonics that really display Bakar’s recent success and his need to share it with his significant other. “The last laugh is yours, before and after
'Cause my heart is torn
