David Kushner is a singer-songwriter and he’s here with his debut single “Miserable Man” that you definitely don’t wanna miss out on. Over the past six months, he has been quietly building an army of fans by way of TikTok virality and has been teasing this single. In this song, he confesses about the way he currently feels in regards to him and his girlfriend and sings about what he thinks their future as a family would be like. David has already set himself apart with his unique sound and I’m looking forward to more from him.
I think the production on this track works perfectly for the song as it compliments the mood along with David’s songwriting really well. The song’s production is kept to a bare minimum with a mellow but engaging acoustic guitar pattern,piano and atmospheric drums as the primary focus is set on the songwriting and vocal performance. I personally love it when artists get candid in their songs and write from personal experience, that paired with good songwriting and production makes the song a straight hit in my eyes. I think anyone who appreciates honest songwriting would love this song.
This song is definitely going to be on repeat for awhile. David Kushner’s musicianship and songwriting abilities are going to make him shoot onto the mainstream scene anytime now, so check him out before then!
