Loser - “Fruit Leather” (feat. Reign)

Listen, we get it, the “Fireflies” sample is jarring for sure. Maybe even polarizing. But “Fruit Leather” (feat. Reign) by Loser takes advantage of the fact that it’s already been stuck in your head before to stay rooted. gttc’s production and vocal treatments indicate a certain amount of 100 gecs influence that works to great effect.
Loser and Reign’s latest offering has wide appeal in a pop space. There’s no reason this song shouldn’t go viral on TikTok, to be perfectly honest, but at the time of writing, this track has 80 views on YouTube after being released for three whole days. If I were a betting man - I’d say they can’t get the rights to the Owl City cringe hit - but hopefully we see a Spotify release soon, somehow.
