Like me? Yes, absolutely. Indy June is everything I'm into. Listening to Indy June’s discography and the newest song to be added, “Like Me” evoke throwbacks to other killer singer/ songwriters like Jewel and Fiona Apple, with her own twist.
“Like Me” asks a simple, but sometimes incredibly difficult question to answer, do you like me? Or are we just best friends? Honestly, to me that question is terrifying. You risk losing a best friend and stand to gain a perfect lover. That conundrum might also be plaguing Indy because the song leaves you with a melancholy sense of longing, now whether that's for closure or for the spark of romance, I'm not sure. Maybe you can figure it out.
