When it comes to music discovery, there is a special feeling when you come across a groundbreaking artist. Although these artists are hard to find, their innovation and ability to craft engaging songs is what sets them apart. This week I was blessed to come by emerging singer-songwriter juno roome. juno roome i sa Brooklyn-based artist that was born in South Korea. Although his upbringing wasn’t easy, he has raw musical talent. With a dreamy approach to his music, his records are carried by lush melodies, captivating falsettos, and relatable songwriting skills that evoke raw emotions out of his listeners.
On his latest offering “the way you looked”, the Dwayne Johnson fan discusses a crazy night where he and his ex leave a party to watch “Jungle Cruise”. Although the story is complex and engaging, the record itself is very catchy and easy to fall in love with. Between the subtle pop form and sensibility of the song, it’s easy to get a friend like feeling from listening to the record. The overall nostalgic feel of the song has turned me into a true fan of the artist, and I can’t wait to hear more. With that being said, the stream the song below and vibe out!
