When it comes to life, I believe we have all been in situations where we felt helpless or alone. Although we push to change the circumstances, we ultimately come to the realization that we have to let things play out. Over the weekend, I came across a rising singer, that eloquently describes this feeling, and her name is Haley Nance.
On her latest offering “Don’t Know Why”, Nance discusses the intricacies of a failing relationship that has led to self-doubt and internal blame. The singer details how the relationship led to a loss of control, and her exceptional songwriting allows the listener to truly connect with how brutal that experience can be. With ear-catching sonics that feature melodic guitars riffs and lush melodies, Nance shines vocally. The mixture of warm production, catchy cadences, and personal experiences makes the single evoke raw emotions. Overall, the single has been one of my favorite finds of the month so make sure to add it to your playlists!
