Seeing Chris James releasing music is an automatic day-maker for me. His last project, ‘The Art Of Overthinking,’ is honestly still on repeat for me, so this song is just the cherry on top! And after the first listen, I’m already in love with it.
There’s this genuine vulnerability that’s translated through Chris’ blatantly detailed and personal songwriting style. I listen to this song through and feel like I know him better as a person by the end of it! In my opinion, that’s the mark of a great songwriter. Not to mention the laid-back, effortless vocal delivery style which comes off so smooth and creates this carefree feeling when you listen.
I can’t go without tipping my cap to the Pokemon-themed cover art, too. So fire! Give this one a listen if you haven’t yet.
