Ricky Himself - F’d Up (but it’s true)

After covering Ricky Himself’s last release a few months ago, it quickly became one of my go-to rotation tracks. So seeing another song out from him is an automatic week-maker! This one is all you’d expect it to be and more, with relatable songwriting and an amplitude of rock-n-roll aura.
I’d expect to hear a song like this one at a party and I can envision everyone just laughing and singing along together. Although the content Ricky sings about is vulnerable and somewhat melancholy, it carries such a carefree sense that for one reason or another makes me want to get up and dance! Everything from those layered melodies, to powerful instrumentation, to Ricky’s undeniably genuine voice makes this one the perfect spring soundtrack.
