Oddjoy - Green (feat. DEPTH)

20-year-old LA producer, Oddjoy, teams up with DEPTH to release my favorite song of the year titled ‘Green’. ‘Green’ is an outlier track compared to most of the music I have been listening to, but its infectious hook and melodies make it so intoxicating. The production is festival ready with its electronic feel, and the bass will make you want to head slap in the middle of a moshpit at Lollapalooza. This song feels like a euphoric trip off of psychedelics. It has its slower moments, but those make the chorus hit so much harder.
‘Green’ is refreshing, and it is everything I look for in a song. It is original, mixed-well, and the production makes you feel something. The subject line is great, and I honestly want to just count bands of money as I sit back and listen. I compare the song to a rollercoaster. From the start, it feels like you are continuously going up an upward plane, but then it hits you with a drop that’ll make you wish it never slowed down. It is a rush. With this being my first time hearing the artists, I can only hope to hear more. With that being said, we hope live music is back soon so we can experience this one live!
