Shane Moyer - Ashby Court (EP)
By: Trevor Siebold IG/Twitter: @barelytrev
An honest, vibrant, concise collection of work that has us feeling both sentimental and hopeful on a Tuesday night. That’s the best way we can explain this new Shane Moyer! ‘Ashby Court’ is one of those projects that’ll be on repeat for awhile to come.
The blend of such variable sounds is truly impressive, and caught our attention right away. Mellow, thought-provoking grassroots-alternative-rock combined with elements of modern hip-hop and RnB leaves space for a lot of different vibes and perspectives. Meshing such different sounds like that is no east feat, but Moyer seemed to have done it with ease.
Everything from the beautiful instrumentation, to Shane Moyer’s unique and nostalgic voice, to the relatable and vulnerable songwriting makes this project worth listening to a bunch of times through. Hats off to Moyer yet again!
Favorite Song: To The Grave
Lyrics That Stick:
”Take my hand
And I’ll follow you to the grave
Cause without you now
The rain just don’t sound the same”
