London-based artist Elderbrook is at it again with his latest album, the wordily titled Why Do We Shake In The Cold?. Since the mid 2010s, Elderbrook - or Alexander Kotz - has been releasing quality music. His trademark light, etherial tone is heard throughout his latest effort, as his vocals are constantly dancing around angelic. This album has tons of standout tracks, like “Set Fire To My Gun” and the lead single “Numb,” but “Back To My Bed” (released with an accompanying music video) stands apart.

The delicious pop track is exactly what we need to close out this 2020 summer. It’s been a frustrating year for everyone, and music like this is one of the only things getting me through it. With voices like Elderbrook’s constantly cheering me on and raising my hopes from my Spotify queue, there seems to be a way out. Why Do We Shake In The Cold? is a healthy dose of that same medicine. Whatever’s going on in your life right now, why don’t you let ole’ Elderbrook try and turn things around for you.

Lyrics That Stick:
”Don't let the heartbreak hit you on a Saturday night
Come meet me halfway in between dark and the light
'Cause the voice in my head said I ain't goin' back to my bed”
