Have you ever listened to an artist that caught your attention on the first listen? If so, what made them standout? Was it their cadence or overall delivery? Or was it there songwriting? This week, I came across a rising artist that made me fall in love with music all over again. That artist is Yoomcircle.

Yoomcircle is an innovative artist that defies genres with his retro-futuristic indie-pop sound. He is mesmerizing, captivating, and daring. Originally a jazz guitarist and arranger for orchestras and big bands, the burgeoning star has since championed the DIY movement within his own records. Now, he debuts on our pages with his latest album “Nomad”.

“Nomad” is an 11-track masterpiece that I would consider his magnum opus. The sonics are cohesive, harmonies were engaging, and the mix & master were a chef’s kiss. With this being his first independent production from his home studio, I could barely tell. If I could describe this album in a few words, I would say dreamy, nostalgic, & innovative. At times, I felt like I was floating in space. The album was that good. Yoomcircle’s ability to integrate punchy 70s drums, infectious synths, and introspective songwriting allows his sound to be magnified.

Yoomcircle crafts a sound that evokes raw emotions out of his listeners and that is what makes this record so memorable. My favorite songs were “Shade Of The Dawn”, “No Coffee But Sun”, & “Thrills”. Overall, this is an album for people looking for intricate love songs. The album explores the beauty of the unknown while also describing the feelings of love & loss. This is an album that is relatable to many, and it deserves to be heard. With that being said, stream the rising stars debut album below!
