carpetgarden is about to be your favorite artist if they weren’t already. With the release of their latest project, ‘The Way He Looks,’ carpetgarden is single-handedly paving an entirely new lane of soft rock/easy pop music that’s unbelievably infectious!
Sitting at 8 songs deep, this is the type of project I can let play all the way through and just put my mind at ease throughout. carpetgarden carries such a strong sense of nostalgic sentiment and genuine emotion in their vocal cadence and matter-of-fact songwriting style. There’s this juxtaposition happening between simplistic arrangements and complex perspectives. It’s like the beauty of it all is found in the minute textures and descriptive poetry.
Major hats off to carpetgarden for giving us all something to smile to this spring. I’ll be playing these songs on repeat for awhile to come!
