When it comes to debut albums, years of preparation go into crafting something that can withstand time and leave a future imprint for an artist. Within the preparation, there are late-night studio sessions, marketing plans, and finalizing a tracklist that fits the overall objective of that said album. After years of being in the public eye due to controversies and Instagram fame, Madison Beer comes ready to give her side of the story in her new album ‘Life Support’.

‘Life Support’ is authentic and it shows a more vulnerable side from the rising star. If you have ever questioned if Madison is a genuine artist, this album answers all of your questions. This album truly feels like Madison is transitioning into adulthood, and it seems like she is ready for the music to tell her story.

Although most don’t know her personal flaws, Beer lets it be known that this album explores her borderline diagnosis of personality disorder after a harsh breakup. The production is consistent throughout, and you can feel the dark and often sad instrumentals melt within your headphones.

For me, my favorite songs have to be ‘Follow the White Rabbit’ and ‘Stay Numb and Carry On’. ‘Follow the White Rabbit’ embodies an infectious hook with many layers throughout that allow Beer to have such a powerful vocal performance that it is impossible to skip. ‘Stay Numb and Carry On’ is a raw single that describes a crippling panic attack that is relatable to anyone that has gone through something like this. All around, the project is cohesive, and it is a great first album to properly describe who Madison is as a person and artist.

Favorite Song: Follow the White Rabbit

Lyrics That Stick:

”Boy, I heard my name's on the tip of your tongue

And I'm empty too if that is what you want

And I looked into your eyes and you're the one

That I wanted, baby, that I wanted”
