Daring, prolific, and captivating are all words that describe rising independent rapper Soo Casa. Hailing from Ontario, the burgeoning star has immense talent, and he has taken the industry by storm. His records are raw, and his lyrics carry a maturity well beyond his years. When dissecting the current state of hip-hop, an artist like Soo Casa is what we have all been missing. His sound is refreshing, and his vocal delivery is exceptional. Now, he enters our pages with his captivating EP “Oskee”.

“Oskee” is a fiery project carried by 4 tracks that are laced with playful bars and engaging hooks. From start to finish, his swagger and braggadocios personality can be felt. His drive to be the best is what makes him a star. He doesn’t take a bar off, and he allows himself to fully immerse in his well-crafted sound. My favorite songs were “Strawberry Jam Freestyle” & “Lift Em”. “Strawberry Jam Freestyle” is carried by an engaging bassline & sparse drum arrangement. Soo Casa’ perfectly mesh with the production. His flows and overall cadence are tailored for this song, and I believe that’s what makes it hit so hard. Soo Casa makes sure to stay In his element while also delivering punchy bars that would knock out even the best battle rappers. This song is a statement to his creativity and ability to battle with this best lyrically. “Lift Em” is my personal favorite. The intro has this Houston-styled chopped & screwed element before leading to engaging verses from Soo Casa & Jerelle. Both artists rise to the occasion and their chemistry can’t be overlooked. It was like watching two heavyweight fighters lay blows back & forth. The raw energy and overall flows were otherworldly. To add to the intoxicating verses, the hook went crazy. This has to be one of my favorite songs I have heard as of late. Overall, this is one of the best projects out so make sure to stream it below!
