Got Dibs Rises To The Occasion On His Latest, “Rocket”

Captivating, daring, & raw are all words that describe rising artist-DJ Got Dibs. Hailing from California, the burgeoning star began producing EDM in high school before honing his skills while he was in college at UC-Davis. Immersing himself in the college scene allowed him to grow his base before earning a residency and opening for the likes of Jaykode, Xaebor, & Squnto. After impressing me with his debut album “Prism of Optimism” in 2021, I have continued to keep a close eye on him. Now, he enters our pages with his groundbreaking album. “Rocket”.

“Rocket” is an exceptional album that takes listeners on a sonic journey that they won’t want to end. It’s engaging, experimental, and it has some of the most refreshing sonics that I have heard on album this year. His attention to detail makes him a complete artist, and he has this innate ability to show emotion within each record. His heart & soul can be felt from start to finish, and Got Dibs shows he has that “IT” factor. The album features performances from Michael Dibs and Emily Weurth. Got Dibs’ chemistry with both artists was evident and the collaborative records really stood out. My favorite songs were “Cloud 29”, “Zero Gravity”, & “In the Sun”.

Overall, “Rocket” is one of the most complete and cohesive projects I have heard all year. If you are someone that is looking for an artist that pushes the boundaries, this is the album for you. So, stream  the album below and vibe out!
