Have you ever listened to an artist that caught your attention on the first listen? If so, what made them standout? Was it their cadence? Overall delivery? Songwriting? This week, I came across a rising artist that made me fall in love with music all over again. That artist is rising singer-songwriter Savannah Pope. Hailing from Los Angeles, the burgeoning star has taken the music industry by storm with a sound that evokes raw emotions out of her listeners. She is raw, daring, and her music is captivating. For those new to her, Pope’s innovative pop & rock influenced sound is everything you are missing. Although I’m still new to her, she enters our pages with her groundbreaking album, “Pandemonium”.

“Pandemonium” is one of the strongest albums I have listened to all year. From the vocal performance to the sonics, the album is a chef’s kiss. Leaving a lasting impact, “Pandemonium” was inspired by a heart-wrenching loss of a friend. Diving into topics of mental illness, suicidal ideation, and OCD, Pope bears it all across 12 exceptional tracks. The album is personal, vibrant, and it provides listener’s a therapy they didn’t know they needed.

My personal favorite songs were “Melancholic Goddess” & “Sick”. “Melancholic Goddess” may be the fiercest song on the album. Pope steps into her confidence, and she embraces the inner bad ass while also reflecting on the trauma she’s been through. This song is a game changer, and it made me realize how good of a songwriter she is. “Sick” is a soft & intimate record that takes a more reflective route for the singer. The song is laced with lush melodies, introspective lyrics, and the climax is otherworldly. This was easily my favorite song on the album. Overall, this album is a must-listen so stream it below!
