Otis Fonde Proves His Star Power On His Latest Album “Don’t Look Down”

Otis Fonde is an artist that NEEDS to be in your rotation.
Coming from humble beginnings, this once country boy has taken the music industry by storm. If you haven’t heard of Otis, you have to be living under a rock. Drawing inspiration from his father (former DJ), Otis has spent the last few years perfecting his craft as an artist. Known for his songwriting prowess and exceptional vocal ability, the burgeoning star has cemented himself as an artist to watch. After impressing me with his past mixtapes and single, he debuts on our pages with his latest album “Don’t Look Down”.
“Don’t Look Down” is Fonde’s magnum opus. The album is a testament to his growth as an artist. Known for his razor-sharp lyricism, intricate storytelling, and innovative production, Fonde promises an auditory experience like no other with "Don't Look Down." “Don’t Look Down” is a sonic journey that pushes the boundaries of Hip-Hop, and Fonde proves that he is an artist to watch. Lyrically, his storytelling is exceptional, and his vocal delivery is otherworldly. I have yet to hear an artist with his vocal range and cadence selection. The way he weaves through each track proves that he is bringing real rap back. He is a relentless artist and his unapologetic songwriting makes him a force to reckoned with.
The album shows his authenticity as an artist, and it shows his strong work ethic to create a cohesive body of work. Mt favorite records are “It Is What It Is”, “Type”, & “Too Hot for Henny”. “It Is What It Is” is an introspective single that dives into his will power to overcome his struggles and elevate. The record is an optimistic track about rising to new heights. “Type” is cinematic track that feels straight out of a movie. His flows are compelling, and I loved his cocky flair. Fonde’s delivery makes his words and songwriting much more impactful and this is what makes the record so memorable. This is one of my favorite records. “Too Hot for Henny” is laced with lush melodies, soulful samples, and heartfelt lyrics. This is one of the most pivotal songs that defines who Otis is as an artist. Overall, the album is one of the best I have heard all year. So, stream it below!
