We finally have a full-length project from lilspirit, and I am hyped to announce that it did not at all disappoint. On the artwork, we see various faces of lilspirit, and in the music we hear the many sides of him. In the 14 tracks and 32 minutes, we get to come to better understand the man with the blue hair.

The opening song on the album is his biggest song to date, ‘droptopbitch’. The simple guitar at the root of that song’s instrumental is found all throughout the album, with different melodies but similar levels of catchiness and simplicity. The instrumentals never get crazy, but they are all beautiful in their simplicity. His soft way of singing kind of reminds me of Billie Eilish, although the styles of music are different. My personal favorite is ‘ugly’, a song about a broken relationship and how lilspirit is dealing with it. Honestly, the album is super solid and has a ton of replay value, so go and check it out.

Lyrics That Stick:

“You look so ugly when you’re lying to me

I don’t feel nothing when you’re crying to me”
