When it comes to music, I am always searching for artists that defy genre norms and push the boundaries. I yearn to hear the unheard, and I fight for the those that I believe deserve to have a voice. Although the industry is very saturated, there are these rare times where I come across a diamond in the rough. This week, I was impressed when I came across emerging artist Larando Suave.

Hailing from Dallas, TX, the rapper-producer has taken the industry by storm due to his dynamic and captivating sound. Larando Suave is versatile and his music has a rawness that makes it easy to connect with as a listener. He’s the definition of a true artist. Suave is refreshing and he goes against the grain. His love for breaking barriers and pushing the boundaries and made him stand out amongst his counterparts. After impressing me with his album “Secret Garden”, I knew he was destined for greatness. Now, he enters our pages with his latest project “Midnight Gardening Club EP”.

“Midnight Gardening Club EP” is a vibrant rock-influenced EP that is carried by Avant Garde lyricism. Over the 4 well-crafted songs, Larando Suave leaves his classic hip-hop direction for an exploratory sound that sees him draw influence from different genres. The music is raw, bold, and engaging. I loved his attention to detail, and his vocal delivery was exceptional. Sonically, smooth production was laced with warm percussion, engaging guitar riffs, and the hooks were a chef’s kiss. Everything about this project was perfect. The daring nature to push yourself out of your comfort zone is a quality most don’t have. However, Larando Suave rises to the occasion.

When it comes to the records, my favorite songs were “Black Chelsea Boots” & “Chill Country Blues”. I loved the energy and emotion that was showcased in both records. Overall. This EP is everything I wanted in a project. With that being said, stream it below and vibe out!
