The industry has a new star with rising artist-producer Kyle Malmrose. With roots that trace back to humble beginnings in Salt Lake City, UT, the burgeoning star has been captivating listeners with his innate ability to craft innovative songs that pull at your heartstrings. If you are someone that has been hopelessly waiting for an artist to take your breath away, look no further. Kyle Malmrose is the antidote you never thought you needed. He is the definition of a real artist. Being the last of a dying breed of true artists, Kyle’s songs are laced with vocals and lyrics that draw emotion. His songs are reflective, and they show his versatility to weave in and out of different genres. Although he is still finding his feet, Kyle enters our pages with his exceptional EP “Toxicity & Desire”.

“Toxicity & Desire” is one of my favorite projects of the year. From the vocal performances to the sonics, Kyle rises to the occasion. Malmrose takes listeners on a sonic journey they won’t want to end. If I could describe the EP in a few words, I would say that it is innovative, daring, raw, & memorable. The project was created from personal experience which makes it easy to connect with. Tackling themes of heartbreak, desire, & nostalgia, Malmrose delivers a self-reflective project that begs to be heard. My favorite songs were “Dreaming”, “Endorphins”, & “Something In The Air”. What really stood out to me was his ability to blend elements of pop & electronic into one enchanting & memorable soundscape. Overall, this project needs to be in the conversation for EP of the year. Kyle Malmrose is a name you need to remember.
