If you’re looking for an artist to soundtrack your life, look no further. Hailing from Chicago, emerging rapper-songwriter, Khyron Henry (a.k.a King Khy), is an artist that has put the indusrty on notice. He is raw, captivating, and his delivery is unmatched. With years of expereince in the music industry, the burgeoning star has made himself memoreable amonst his counterparts. Now, he enters our pages with his latest album “King Me”.

“King Me” is a 13-track album that was made over a period of two years. Detailing his own life experiences, the album takes listers on a sonic rollercoatser full of ups and downs. For me, this album is King Khy’s magnum opus, and it serves as a reminder of his exceptional skills and approach.

Khy brought his heart & soul to this album. The rising star can write, perform, produce, and mix his own recrds. He is the definition of a true artist, and he is a  quadruple threat. Because of this, I felt a personal connection with each song, and his presence could be felt in every aspect. Sonically, I found his album cohesive and each song was a new piece to the overall puzzle. My favorite songs were “Feel Like A Star” & “Titus”. “Feel Like A Star” is a more melodic track that is laced with captivating drums and a rhythm that is “headie”. I loved his bravado and overall confidence on this record. His cadence selections was perfect and his vocals meshed well with the sonics. This song showed his swagger. “Titus” is a shorter sonf but his flows were hypnotizing. Over the songs duration, King Khy details his work ethic and growth mindset. For me, this was one of the most engaging albums I have listened to this year. King Khy is a star! Listen to his album below.
