Kazra Dazzle On Their Debut Album, “Never Think Again”

Mesmerizing, innovative, & captivating are all words that describe 4-piece psychedelic rock band Kazra. Made up of members Xavier Froger, Pirapong Dick, Scott Ovens, and Zarutt Malai, the band has continued to captivate listeners with their innate ability to craft progressive hits. Originally starting out as a solo project by Xavier during Covid, he began creating music with Thailand-based high school friends and musical producers Pirapong Dick and Scott Ovens. After they introduced Xavier to accomplished Bangkok-based musician Zarutt Malai, the band was formed. Now, the band enters our pages with their debut album, “Never Think Again”.
The album follows a string of exceptional singles, and it is their best work to date. “Never Think Again” is not just an album. It’s a sonic kaleidoscope journey that combines elements of Rock, Electronic, Pop, & Hip-Hop into one beautiful sound. As a whole, the album is vibrant, colorful, and the soundscape is cohesive from start to finish. Over the 12-tracks, they showcase their versatility and togetherness as a group. Although the final product is incredible, the creation process took about 18 months. The band reworked records, and they spent time collaborating online since the vocalist was in Australia. For me, the album is a testament to the band’s perseverance and will to fight to create something bigger than themselves. When discussing the album, the band had this to say:
“The name ‘Never Think Again’ is symbolic of this coming together and the trust they have in eachother as musicians. It’s a mantra they want to impart on their listeners: to let go and enjoy lifeinstead of overthinking everything. The songs have a coherent mood of positivity and fun, whichthey also want fans to experience in their live performances.”
Although the creation of the album was spontaneous, “Never Think Again” is one of the best records I have heard all year. My favorite songs were “Fast Track”, “Super Ego”, & the title track “Never Think Again”. Laced with lush melodies, ear-worm hooks, and engaging sonics, the album proves that it will stand the test of time. This is timeless music. With that being said, stream the album below and rock out!
