Emmitt Dupree Creates His Own Lane On His New EP, “Pick a Lane, Pt.1”

As an emerging artist, it is sometimes hard to make a breakthrough in an industry that chases viral moments, consistent releases, and values artists that play it safe. However, at Banger Of The Day, we search to find artists that don’t play by the rules. We want the rule breakers, the genre benders, and we yearn to find artists that fight to make genuine music. This week, I came across a rising artist that has excelled in this way. Hailing from Arizona, emerging Hip-Hop artist, Emmitt Dupree has been making waves with his unique “Blues Rap” style. His records are laced with heartfelt lyrics and somber tales over soulful and hard-hitting production. Now, he debuts on our pages with his latest EP “Pick a Lane, Pt. 1”. The two song EP is a great reflection of how talented the artist is. My favorite song from the EP has to be “Non4Real (feat. CJ Fly)”. The single is laced with lush melodies, exceptional vocal delivery, and the hook is memorable. I loved how cohesive the song was, & CJ Fly was the cherry on top to take the song across the line. Although both songs were strong, Dupree was in his bag on this record. From his bars to his melodies, this was a soulful Hip-Hop masterclass. With that being said, stream the EP below and vibe out!
