DeVibe IsReal Makes A Colossal Return On His Highly Anticipated Album, “Vibeyy”

As a fan of Hip-Hop, I’m constantly excited to find new artists that are making waves. There is a rush I get from discovering the sounds of tomorrow, and I try to elevate the voices of the unheard. Over the last 20 years, I have seen the genre evolve as a whole. It has gone from the sound of the unheard and broken, to the sound of the rich and privileged. With the growth of the genre in popular culture, the rawness that was at the forefront of rap lyrics has seemed to go away with the popularity of Hip-Hop. However, I’ve recently realized that if you search long enough, there are still rappers out the that are doing it for the love of the genre. They are creating raw music with genuine feels that are bringing the “REAL HIP-HOP” back. Although it has been hard to find new rappers that embody this, I have recently found a new artist that is making waves and his name is DeVibe IsReal. DeVibe IsReal is one of the most polarizing artists that I have heard recently, and he impressed me with his latest album “Vibeyy”.
The album is DeVibe IsReal’s first project in 2 years. Although he did take a considerable amount of time off. His performance and overall lyrical prowess seem more refined than ever. We get to see a more mature and complete version of the emerging rapper. As a versatile talent, DeVibe IsReal wrote, arranged, recorded, and mixed & mastered the entire project. For me, the album stands as a testament of pursuing anything that matters to you. When it comes to the record, my favorite songs are “Game Recognize Game” & “Close My Eyes”. When it comes “Game Recognize Game”, I loved the sample, the vocal delivery, and production was exception. This was a stellar track full of introspective lyrics and raw flows. “Close My Eyes” has some of the most innovative production on the album. This record features some of his best flows in my opinion. Overall, the 11-song album is full of gems, and I really enjoyed it sonically.
