Indiana-born, Disruptor Records signee Christian French has been making bold strikes in the pop space since 2017, but he hasn’t missed a beat. With a consistent catalogue of quality, high-performing releases, French has a firm grip on the music game right now. His latest EP includes two songs in addition to his string of 2020 singles. Although I’m sure much has changed for the rising star in the past few years, the authenticity in his voice has far from faded.
Simply put, “good things take time” and “wake up” and two songs my brain has been wanting to hear from Christian French. Not only does the pair of new releases make perfect sense in the context of the larger, 7-track EP, but each song shows French from a different angle. The Imad Royal, Rogét Chahayed-produced “good things take time” is a breath of fresh air, harkening back to songs like “bright side of the moon,” while the French and Pink Slip-produced “wake up” lingers on thoughtful phrases and hearty guitar licks.
