Hailing from Inglewood, emerging rapper, Chop Sueyy, has taken the music industry by storm. His flows and work ethic are unmatched, and his drive is otherworldly. Chop Sueyy is unlike any other emerging rapper. He’s raw, daring, and his captivating songs are carried by heart & emotion. For me, he stays true to the west coast side while also incorporating modern elements. His music is authentic, smooth, and punctuated by rhymes that will trigger memories of the greats. Chops Sueyy’s flows paint vivid pictures, and he continues to impress with each song. Now, he enters or pages with his latest album “The Crush Tape”.

“The Crush Tape” is one of the must transformative albums I have heard this year. I consider it to be his magnum opus, and this album proves his star power. From the verses to the production, the album is exceptional. Chop Sueyy’s vocal delivery is otherworldly. In a time where many used recycle flows and unoriginal samples, the rising rapper provides a refreshing touch to the industry. “The Crush Tape” is a dynamic and eclectic exploration of the highs and lows of having a crush, blending genres and pushing boundaries to create a truly unique auditory experience. Chop Sueyyy takes listeners on an emotional journey that captures the essence of infatuation, unspoken feelings, and the rollercoaster of emotions that accompany a crush.

My favorite songs were “Janeil”, “Shanerra”, “Chantal”, & “Summer”. I’m a huge fan of him using the girl’s names as song titles throughout the album. It helps get his themes & narrative across. From start to finish, this is one of the most complete albums I have heard all year. Chop Sueyy is a star, and this album deserves a listen. Stream it below and vibe out!
