BRELAND - BRELAND (Album Review)

When I first heard ‘My Truck’ by BRELAND, I thought he was a smart, emerging artist taking advantage of the hype of ‘Old Town Road’ and he would quickly be forgotten. I am happy to say that I was wrong, and with his self-titled debut EP, he has maintained his musicality, his country-sound, and obvious talent.

The blend between hip-hop and country throughout the project is almost indistinguishable it’s blended so well. As someone who listens to a lot more hip-hop than anything else, I was amazed by how much I loved the EP all the way through. Every song brings a different feel and emotion, but still maintain a similar BRELAND that we heard through the first two singles. My personal favorite was ‘Hot Sauce’, a clever and funny comparison of a girl to a hot sauce. Go and check it out, and then listen to the whole EP while you’re at it.

Lyrics That Stick:

“Body like a bottle, got that hot sauce

Need a sip of water, with the hot sauce”
