His flows are exceptional, and he has continued to leave listeners in awe with his songwriting prowess. Bent Joshua is everything you want in an artist. He is raw, daring, and his captivating sound has made him a household name. Whether he’s discussing love, fear, sadness, or reflection, he finds a unique way to stay true to himself. Taking on a spoken word style of rap, he continues to stand out amongst his peers, and he has given hip-hop a refreshing facelift. Now, he enters our pages with his latest album, “At My Wits’ End”.

“At My Wits’ End” is an 8-track masterpiece that takes listeners on a reflective journey. Throughout the album, Bent Joshua embraces themes of love, loss, freedom, depression, and acceptance as he deals with the uncertainty and tribulations of life. Personally, his ability to full immerse himself in this project allowed the listener to fully connect with his raw lyricism and relatable themes. Bent Joshua is a modern poet that has gone through the trials and tribulations of an everyday man. His ability to show his shortcomings while breaking his bad cycles gives hope to everyone listening to this album.

The most important songs from the album were “All My Faults”, “Nightmare”, & “Open Sea”. I found those songs to have exceptional song structure, emotive lyricism, and I felt he poured himself into each of those songs. When I think of his overall sound, those are the 3 songs that I would recommend to anyone listening to him for the first time.

Overall, “At My Wits’ End’ is Bent Joshua’s magnum opus. The album highlights his growth and maturity as a songwriter and vocalist. From his flows to his production, everything was cohesive. Unlike many in the streaming era, Joshua is making music with substance. He is pushing the boundaries and providing stories that listeners can relate to.
