Alena Ciera Has Us In Awe With Her Enchanting EP, “All In My Head”

It is rare for me to find an artist that captivates me on the first listen, but rising musician, Alena Ciera, has me hooked. Hailing from Washington, D.C., the rising pop artist has been carving her own lane. For those that don’t know her, Ciera has played & collaborated with the likes of Yolanda Adams, Cee Lo Green, David Byrnes American Utopia, and more. After releasing her first solo single “Invincible” in 2020, the musician has continued to captivate listeners with her diverse and uplifting sound. Over the years, Ciera has grown as a musician and writer. Now, she enters our pages with her latest EP “All In My Head”.
As an EP, “All In My Head” is the perfect introduction to Alena Ciera. It feels as if she is spreading her wings and starting a new chapter in her music career. When describing her sound, I would say it is distinct and refined. In addition, her songs are laced with thudding percussion, groovy bass, and guitar instrumentation tinged with an electro-pop vibration. Ciera’s records are memorable. nostalgic, and there is a sensible side that makes it easy to relate to.
“All In My Head” is an exciting and catchy EP that will make you want to dance. It has ear-pleasing vocals, loud drums, electric bass, and electro-pop sounds. When it comes to my favorite songs, I have to say “Change Your Mind” & “What You Want” were my personal favorites. “Change Your Mind” is a captivating display of bright vocal melodies and warm piano-driven instrumentation. In addition, the song is brought together with the its buzzing synths and enchanting pop sound. With her exceptional vocal range and innate ability to craft an infectious hook, “Change your Mind” is the perfect single to listen to off of the EP.
Alena is known for her alluring vocals, and they shine on “What You Want”. The record is sonically pleasing, and it is laced with infectious vocal lines, lush melodies, and a hook that will have you absolutely hooked. She has this ability to infuse a sense of joy and freedom in her songs, and that is on full display here. This record is the standout from the EP.
Overall, “All In My Head” is a perfect representation of Alena as an artist. The record as a whole is cohesive and every track is unique. Ciera has a gift as a singer & a writer, and she deserves to be in your rotation. Stream her EP below!
