Although Mother’s day is a week away, The Band CAMINO decided to show their appreciation to their mothers a little early with their latest release ‘Sorry Mom’. In the soft acoustic ballad, the Nashville-based band delivers an introspective single where lead singer, Jeffery Jordan, discusses some of his personal regrets to his mom. In addition to releasing the single, the band also blessed us with a black & white video to accompany the record.
In the Patrick Tracy-directed visual, Jordan is alone with his guitar in a dark room singing about the pain he has due to his past mistakes. Although the band is also made up of Spencer Stewart (singer & guitarist) and Garrison Burgess (drummer), the band all agreed that Jordan being alone for this video would have more of an impact due to how connected he was to the song. As planned, the video is vulnerable and due to the relatable songwriting and the simplicity of the video, the overall feel of the visual will have listeners glued to the screen. With that being said, if you have some regrets or personal mistakes that have affected your mother in the past, take a minute to watch this video to prepare for Mother’s Day!
Lyrics That Stick:
“I've done a lot that I regret
Said things that I wish I'd never said
I'm trying, I'm human, I don't know what I'm doing
This is me just being real with you I guess”
