We have been gushing over Anna and her single ‘kitchen table’ for some time now. Well, the gushing will continue, because Anna has released a music video for the single as well! At first thought I think we expected the video to look different, given the rasp in her voice and the slightly grunge appeal Anna has. We were pleasantly surprised, however, by the bright and lovely atmosphere that this video contained!
It seems as though Anna grew up in a country area where there were fields and horses as she’s shot sitting on her horse within the beginning of the video. There’s also a kitchen table in the middle of the field that gives off this cute and cozy farmhouse feel, and we get to picture more of this home she describes in the song. She describes wanting her parents to break-up, and that must be a hard wish, knowing most kids from a broken family yearn for what was. Once, it’s over, everything changes and what once was is now completely altered.
As the music video continues you get glimpses of the family videos, her cat and see more of Anna in her element. We loved seeing her barefoot with sundresses on as she’s walking through the stables or fields. Not only does the video give you a sense of who Anna is, but it also give you that comfort and warmth of being home. There’s just something, like the memories you make sitting around your ‘kitchen table’ that bring you back home.
