For the last couple of years, it seems like we have had an influx of teenage rap sensations emerge out of nowhere. We have seen artists like 24kGoldn, Lil Tecca, and Kid Laroi take their virality and create steady careers off of their notoriety and great music. Now, it seems we have a new rising talent that is garnering a lot of attention around the industry. That artist is SoFaygo. After the success of his Lil Tecca-produced project Angelic 7, and the breakout success of his single ‘Knock Knock’, the young talent has everyone thinking that he is “next up”. To add to his notoriety, SoFaygo recruited Lyrical Lemonade’s very own, Cole Bennett, to direct the visual for his breakout single ‘Knock Knock’.
In the visual, the rapper is seen moving through rooms in a modern scary house that feels reminiscent of the movie ‘Beetlejuice’. In addition to the ode the video pays to old school horror films, the video is stylish and the color grading and transitions are out of this world. With that being said, take a minute or three to watch the cinematic visual for SoFaygo’s rising hit.
Lyrics That Stick:
“I knew shorty was a thottie
She tryna take off in a Masi'
Counting this guap like I hit a lottery
Wait a minute, stay quiet please”
