Although I haven’t been to Missouri myself, I have to thank the great state for giving us pop-sensation Anthony Russo. Over the last few years, the now LA-based artist has blessed us with his ability to craft sleek dance-pop and playful romantic ballads. With his new single ‘Kansas’, he pens a song about living in the moment. To further bring the song’s story to life, Russo also gave us a video directed by Abir Hashem.
In the Abir Hashem-directed visual, Russo is seen cycling down the Kansas backroads as he expresses his connection to the ‘lost generation’. Although the video is full of beautiful scenic shots, the lyricism is nothing to look over. Russo wants viewers to understand the mixed emotions of being completely free and lost at the same time. His goal is to show that we don’t have to have it all figured out. With that being said, take some time and watch the beautiful video above.
