When it comes to song-writing, Toronto-born artist benny mayne is second to none. He has slowly established his pen by writing for acts such as G-Eazy and Blackbear. However, benny is finally ready to spread his wings and take the spotlight with his new single ‘Hardest’.
He is a sweet mixture of Hip-Hop, R&B, and alt-rock all in one. With his new single that is accompanied by mesmerizing visuals, benny talks about finally getting the shine he deserves. Just like artists such as Blackbear, he is ready to show that his own voice is just as good as his pen game. In the video, we see his eclectic style shine as we follow him through the city of angels with beautiful women and expensive hotel rooms. The color grading of the video is top-notch, and the use of the fish-eye effect gives the video that extra late 90s early 2000s feel that made me fall in love with music videos. The video is just as compelling as the song, and I must say that we are very excited for what is to come from the emerging artist.
