Hudi - die with a notepad (Official Music Video)

After releasing his intoxicating single ‘videogame’ in late March, Hudi continues to cement his name in the music industry with his latest release ‘die with a notepad’. Although he is not a new name, Hudi’s brand of alt-pop that has elements of hyper-pop followed by sticky choruses makes Hudi a unicorn in an industry full of copy and paste artists. In addition to releasing the single, the rising singer also blessed us with a cinematic visual to accompany the budding song.

In the Logan Rice-directed visual, the young visionary uses VHS effects to shoot a candid Hudi as he sings about giving up on those who couldn’t reciprocate the same energy he gave to them. Although the visual is pretty simple, the gritty feel you get from the VHS effect helps bring texture to the video, but it also helps express the feelings felt within the song. This has to be one of my favorite songs and videos from the rising artist and I can’t wait for more.

Lyrics That Stick:

“You tatted my wrist I threw up

You tell me I drink way too much”
