Emerging Singer Secily Shines On Her Soulful New Record “battlefield”

Although there are a lot of talented artists in the music industry, it’s very rare that you hear someone with exceptional range, tone, and control when it comes to their natural singing voice. Now, most artists may have learned to excel in one or two of these qualities, but you can definitely tell when you come across a top tier singer because they will possess all three. This week, I was blessed to come across rising singer Secily, and she has become my new guilty pleasure. With roots that trace back to Houston, TX, the emerging singer has a voice that makes me believe she had to have spent her formative years in a church choir. There is way to much soul and rawness in her voice to think otherwise. Although I am new to her discography, she debuts on our pages with her captivating single “battlefield”.
"battlefield" is a record that sheds light on a previous relationship that became abusive and toxic. Secily’s use of her vocal dynamism, soul-baring storytelling, and lush melodies evoke raw emotions over the vintage 2000s r&b & pop sonics. Overall, the record is an exhibition of her ability to switch between arena-friendly ballads and tender empowering love songs with the efficiency of an industry veteran. Although she is already an accomplished model, she continues to show her musical prowess and she proves to be preparing for an impactful 2023 campaign.
