LUCA’s Alternative Ballad “Wrong” Is Our Must-Hear Record Of The Week

Over the last few months, I’ve felt like the music industry has been missing the soul and vulnerability of years before. Everything feels manufactured and most of today’s top songs feel like they are following a formula rather than the artist’s heart and soul. However, I recently found an artist that is truly changing my opinion on this matter. After going through several submissions, I came across my latest guilty pleasure and his name is LUCA. It’s not often that I find an artist that has the “IT” factor, but rising singer/songwriter LUCA is everything and more. Now, the Harlem-based singer debuts on our pages with his electrifying alternative balled “Wrong”.
“Wrong” is a single full of lush melodies, engaging sonics, and guitar chords that will have you in a trance. In addition, his vocal range is exceptional, and he blesses us with emotional lyrics that will melt your heart. LUCA is a full on star and his overall sound has touches of talented artists like Steve Lacy, Dijon, and Frank Ocean. This is what he had to say about the song:
“The song represents the inevitable feeling of emptiness when a relationship ends and the desperate need to return to the spectre of that lost love, even when you both know that time is past. There is an ever-present hole that is left behind after someone who was an integral piece to your life is no longer a part of it; the space it occupies-mentally, physically, & emotionally. What goes up must come down in a relationship & “Wrong” represents that come down to earth moment-the catharsis of that emotional freefall.”
