Although seasons come and go, there are certain songs that are meant for specific times of the year. With Summer on the cusp, I’m in need of songs that bring me the nostalgia of being alive and feeling amazing. This week I came across a single from rising singer/songwriter Dempsey Bolton, and it is the best song I have heard in forever. This week, Dempsey enters our pages with his latest single “With My Thoughts” and it may need a Billboard entry soon.
“With My Thoughts” is high energy and full of lush melodies and engaging sonics that will have you hooked from start to finish. The song captures the feeling of not being able to get out of your head or enjoy yourself in a social setting. The deep groove pushes the narrative forward with the help of cheeky indie vocals before eventually turning into a dark pensive groove, feeling like an acid trip gone wrong. If you are unaware of Dempsey, then you need to get acquainted. He has an innate ability to craft singles that are full of energy and great vibes.
