As a music lover, I have always had a love for alternative and pop-punk music. Growing up in a small town in North Carolina, I found those sounds to be refreshing, and now I find them to be a nostalgic remembrance of my childhood. Although we don’t receive too many submissions in this lane, I was blessed to come across a band this week that is creating some of the most memorable alternative music at the moment. That band goes by the name twentylove. Originating in the San Fernando Valley, twentylove has stolen the hearts of our staff with their latest single “over & over”. The record comes off of their latest album “pressure in my head again”, and it is an exceptional introduction into their discography.
Over the song’s duration, we see the band put on an alternative masterclass that is backed with smooth build-ups, warm sonics, and breakdowns that prove that they have influence from other genres. Each part of this record will pull you in as a listener. From the lush melodies, engaging guitar riffs, and bigger than life chorus, “over & over” brings listeners a taste of happiness that you won’t want to forget. Although they may have some comparisons to bands like the All-American Rejects & Panic! At The Disco, twentylove prove that they have their own personality and sound. They aren’t a copycat, and I believe that with band culture on the rise, they could really breakthrough! With that being said, stream their latest single below and vibe out!
