Los Angeles indie-pop duo, Fly By Midnight, has proven they are staple in the subgenre due to their ability to craft moving and introspective singles that find a home in our heart. Recently, they released their project Tragedy and it has further shown how quality they are. Our favorite track from the project has to be the title track ‘Tragedy’.

Led by lush pop sounds and a smooth but raspy chorus, the duo craft a song that details the ramifications their significant other’s will face if they fall in love. Although it’s an upbeat banger led by a creative chorus meshed with intoxicating melodies, they want this person to know to prepare themselves to fall in love. After listening to this song 6 times in a row, I can easily it has been the highlight of my week and I can’t wait to further dive and re-listen to the rest of their project. With that being said, check out their record.

Lyrics That Stick:

“I know

There's something fucked about my DNA

That makes me sabotage the things I want and

Maybe

That's why the second that my dopamine runs out”
