After spending the weekend enjoying time with friends and family, I finally had a chance to sit down and go through some of our new finds. One single that captivated me from the first listen was ‘Around’ by an artist named Cortes. The track caught me off guard because I had just finished listening to about 10 rap songs, and I literally sat back in excitement when I heard this record. Now I’m not one to overplay new music from artists that I don’t know, but Cortes hit a sweet spot.
The single is crafted with lush melodies and a hook that will make you want to hold your significant other tight. ‘Around’ is a single for all my lovers, and it’s for all listeners who are looking to feel something. Cortes’ vocal performance is strong and he offers a subtle yet addicting sound that will make you want to fall in love. The rising artist has so much potential to be a star, and I’m so glad that I was able to come across this song.
